Yesterday was the beginning of a unique historic collaboration of the Schoolcraft College Culinary Arts Department and the College for Creative Studies animation department in Detroit.
Starting in January, the College for Creative Studies animation department will spend a 16 week semester, bringing to life through stop motion, our clay model Detroit chefs. This will be a whimsical creative story scene as part of an elaborate three tiered cake creation designed by Certified Master Pastry Chef, Joe Decker and Certified Executive Pastry Chef, Heather Moore.
For the initial planning meeting, Chair of Entertainment Arts, David Gazdowicz; Associate Professor of Stop-Motion Animation, Kevin Coyle; Certified Executive Pastry Chef Heather Moore; Certified Master Pastry Chef, Joe Decker; Certified Executive Chef & Program Coordinator, Chris Misiak; and Visionalist Entertainment Productions Director of Photography, Brendan Martin; Video Photographer Annie Einheuser, along with Director/Producer Keith Famie met to collaborate the first steps of how to build this story. Stay tuned for one exciting journey.
