Last week, we attended the 2024 summer Carmela Specialty Foods & Fine Wines Show at the MGM Grand Detroit in an effort to raise funds for our film, Detroit: The City of Chefs, featuring our chef t-shirts, aprons, coffee mugs, and a three-pack of chef seasonings created by our director/producer Keith Famie.
The show was just as bustling as the Carmela Spring Food Show we attended in March. It was exciting to share the film with many new faces and gain some support from the food show visitors and vendors.
These food shows allow chefs, restaurateurs, and store owners a chance to gain access to unique ingredients and suppliers from around the world. Today, Carmela is one of the largest distributors in the Midwest of high quality innovative products that find their way onto well-respected chefs menus and in your favorite grocery stores.
A big thank you to Carmela Specialty Foods for allowing us to be there and enjoy some of the vendor selections. And thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to talk with us and purchased some chef swag in support of our exciting culinary film!
If you want to support the film, please go to our online store where you can purchase any of the items we showcased at the food show, all in support of the film's production:
